Show your body some love!

There are only 2 loyalty programs I recommend that require a fee to join--and one of them is The Body Shop's Love Your Body club. If you shop with them regularly, this program more than pays for itself. I wavered on joining, but realized that I would use it enough to make it pay. The prices on all their products are reasonable, they're always running some kind of special, everything is cruelty-free and green, and they make really, really good stuff. Five years after first signing up, I'm still a member.

The two things I use the most are their body butters (especially the shea body butter) and their home fragrance oils. I'm kind of a candle-holic, and the oils are cheaper to use and last longer than candles. I've also recently started using their Vitamin C skincare line, including the microdermabrasion scrub and peel (2 separate products), and love that, too.

The good news is, if you do shop with them with any regularity, your renewal each year will be free if you make a minimum number of purchases; I have yet to pay to renew since initially joining. So what do you get for the $10 sign-up fee? Behold:
  • 10% off all qualifying1purchases from The Body Shop
  • A birthday gift when you come in during your birthday month (retail value up to $10)
  • Exclusive email updates on what's happening in our shops
  • Special offers by e-mail and direct mail
  • Special Savings during "Customer Appreciation days"
  • Rewards with fourth and eighth qualifying purchase
  • Earn your fourth point, and choose a free product valued at up to $15
  • Earn your eighth point, and choose a free product valued at up to $25 and a free membership renewal

They also run 20% customer discount days a couple of times a year, which can make for a substantial discount. The benefits of the Love Your Body club make the $10 fee look like a bargain--especially the $50 in freebies with qualifying purchases--so give it a try.
